1: Open chat bar via '/' key.
2: Try to type without highlighting chat bar.
3: Highlight bar, and type. It works.

I’m also curious, is there a way to close the chat bar, if you accidentally activate it? The only way I ever seem to be able to get rid of it, is to enter text. Which is silly, if you press it by mistake.
