Out of nowhere DayZ froze and I couldn't even Ctrl+Alt+Del out to Windows. I had to make a hard-shutdown of the PC.

I just experienced the same thing but in another game.
I will attempt to update Windows and my Nvidia driver the moment it releases.

This issue appears to be an issue with my own hardware configuration as moving away my Windows Pagefile from my SSD to my HDD fixed these freezes. Apparently my SSD hung for some reason.
