when I click on the wrench in upper right corner of the main menu the program closes.
this new version runs so slow cant play game
if I press play from the main menu then in the game press esc and choose settings the program closes here too.

when this new version was loaded and I tried to play the game it was so slow I went into settings to adjust thing down. because of the slowness I press the default settings button by mistake and from that point on I'm not able to get back into setting to change anything.

Hello craigdet.
Have you tried to delete the contents of your C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder and then try to launch the game again? Also, are you launching the game with any launch parameters, which could be causing this issue? Have you tried to verify the game data in Steam? From which specific update have you started to experience this issue? Are there any new .mdmp files being created in your C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\DayZ folder when the crash occurs? If so, please upload them under this ticket (The folder is hidden by default so you will have to enable hidden files and folders in Windows in case you haven't done this yet).
Regards,
Geez

THis is happening to me to. On stable and experimental. I have deleted the dayz folder from documents,and verifyed the files like 20 times.If you try to hit the wrench in main menu,game closes with no error msg. If you go into a game hit escape and click on settings,game crashes without error msg.

I have the mdmp files actually. Can I upload them?

Did what your instructions said. removed the dayz folder. launched the program and was presented with a update Ver: 1.0.149918. program loads. click on the cog wheel settings. Program closed. verified files via steam. removed the entire dayz program and reinstalled. same issue file attached

Previous Version mdmp file{F605512}

Yeah I tried this on my windows 8.1 partition, same thing. Am now updated to 1.0 and still happening on windows 8.1 and windows 10. Also provided the .mdmp file. Still crashing going to settings from main menu OR in game.

Just went into dayz.cfg file in the documents and found these settings
WindowWidth=1768;
WindowHeight=992;
this is what the computer was also set to

change the computer to 1600X900
and Changed config to
WindowWidth=1600;
WindowHeight=900;

was able to get into settings to change things. everything was set on high.
lowered settings, applied it and closed and restarted game
Now things are working
t.glynn try changing yours. change your computer res to the lower setting 1st then change the config and load the game.
now the program works good again
Craig

Thanks Craig,

Yeah I've already manually edited mine. :) But I still want them to fix this.... It's annoying not being able to open the options.

Hello t.glynn.
Can you also provide us with a dxdiag file from your computer? Also, if you both could provide us with more crash dump files it would help us in analysing the issue further.
Regards,
Geez

yes

Thats all I have, but if you need me to I can click the options a few more times and make it crash, let me know.....

Do you need any more .mdmp's? I can send more if you need them.

Any more info on this? Still crashes every time you goto settings.

t.glynn. Did you read what I did up top. It does let me into options now that I did that. I changed the video back after I went into settings and slowed down everything until I found the optimum settings.

If you need help doing what I did let me know I can walk you threw it.

the game is back to working full for me.

Craig

Yes I did try that. Not working for me. Thanks Tho.
