I downloaded the new update, wiped my cache and everything but the "a" button does not work. I can use it in the character creation menu to type my name, however, in game it is unresponsive. I can not change my controls in game but I checked the .dayz_preset_user and the A button is bound to the following:

<btn name="mLeft"/>

So I have no clue what is wrong but I would really appreciate a fix or an update so that I can actually play the game.
