Arma 3 Doesnt open

Description

I click play on the Arma 3 launcher and says ' Arma has exited in an unusual manner' - also get a console message saying something about parameters.
could anyone help me with this problem.

Hello.

Thank you for the report. Could you please send me what exception did the launcher throw? It should be in the message you received after the game crashed.

that's the message I receive. weird thing is it has come out of nowhere as a couple of days ago it was fine and I was playing it with no issues like this at all.

Seems like an image file got corrupted. Try clean installing the game.

If that doesn't help try re-installing .NET Framework 4.5 with the latest available version (currently 4.7 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=55167)

okay, what is clean installing? whipping the files then uninstalling all
again?

Uninstal the game. Steam always keeps some files in the steam folder remove them as well and then install the game.
