Sometimes in any game mode or any round the respawn for you is just disabled and you wont be able to spawn for that round.
Behavior is very random. The round after my respawn was disabled I spawned at the "debug" location and "just died". Shortly after, on round start i respawned on this "debug" location. and could continue the game from there.

Respawn was disabled when I joined a beginning round in CLASH - Ste-Marie (ROUND BEGINS IN 3). 2017-06-03 02:57:45 EST
Additional information: seems to be related to the previous player in the slot you are joining in: The previous player was kicked and his "ai" is still considered to be alive, thus not allowing you to join it.
