Description

Missing Keybinds for new jets.

Missing keybinds:
[ ] Afterburner - with the recent dev branch patch this option was added to the plane movement category however its function seems to only cause the aircraft to pitch downward.
[ ] Tailhook (up/down)
[ ] Fold Wings (fold/unfold)

  • Lights (on/off)

[ ] Collision Lights (on/off)

  • Eject

[ ] Launch from Catapult - this would be useful so people don't have to take their hands off the HOTAS to launch from the USS Freedom.

Yes Yes! This should really be implemented. Would be much easier and I wouldn't need to get my hands of the Throttle or Stick in order to launch from the carrier. Also the Tailhook Up/Down would be great as using an action in such danger situation is pretty much unacceptable (atleast for me) as trying to hit the action is pretty difficult when focusing on the landing.

Eject - already there, 2x[V] by default
Lights - also, [L] by default
Col.lights - planned
Fold wings & tail-hook - scripted functionality, no keybinds planned atm

@oukej Yeah scripted like in Arma 2 :D But it would be still great to have such keybind because atm we also don't have an addAction for that so there is no way we could fold and unfold the wing without writing an addAction ourselves.
And for the tailhook is pretty hard to hope to catch the addAction for it while landing because I would conzentrate more on the correct angle of approach instead of trying to find a Tailhook down action in the list.

Just a button for assigning the tailhook script would be nice and maybe if you have time add this also in the MFD like the gear is displayed when gear is down ^^

It would work when the script wouldn't throw an error :P

Oh it works with latest DEV Branch :D Consider that as fixed.

  • Afterburner
  • vanilla game doesn't have this feature
  • Tailhook (up/down)
  • Fold Wings (fold/unfold)
  • these two are not present in the control mapping options because they are scripted actions - not that the player needs to care but it's why they are missing :/
  • Collision Lights (on/off)
  • hopefully will be added (is planned)
  • Launch from Catapult
  • contextual hold action, triggered by common action for contextual actions

I'd recommend to bind actions for action menu control (Common - Previous, Next, Use default action) to the keys on HOTAS.
We are not proud of the "action menu" but it remains the way how to access a lot of functionality in Arma.
