Unable to reconnect to servers : sessions lost, then black screen.
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

Hello,

This problem happens to me since some days now. I start Dayz, find a favorited server, click on Play. I join the server and I play from 10 mins to like a hour. Then I loose session.
I log back, I can play from 10 mins to like a hour. Then I loose session again.
And from that point, if I try to join server again, after clicking play, I get a black screen, the fps goes down to like 5-10 for few seconds then goes up to 1000 fps, and screen remain black. I have to look for another server.

And it will happen with all others servers I will join.

I can join back those servers after 24 hours...
I tried everything.

Hello Le_Marcheur and thank you for the report.
Does this issue occur both on experimental and stable versions? And are you experiencing this issue only on specific servers / specific hives or does this occur on every server?
Regards,
Geez

Hi, Stable, every server. Though I might have solve the problem myself after days of searching. I deleted a file called clientregistry.blob from steam folder, and I cleared the download cache of steam. Im actually still on same server since 3 hours. Lets take the day to see if it's really solved :)

Ok I think I can confirm my problem is solved.

I did 3 things :

  • Delete the file clientregistry.blob from steam folder
  • Clear download cache of steam
  • stop using a VPN (I dont think problem came from that but I still say it)

I got only 1 session lost today after like 4 hours on the same server. I hope this can help others that will have that problem.
