Gunfire inaudible if player character is not in line-of-sight with shooter
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

If the player character has no line-of-sight with another unit who's firing his weapon, you will not hear the gunfire. Only the bullet-cracks are still audible.
This has been especially notable during Tanoa gameplay with AI units frequently behind trees, making it very difficult to locate incoming fire.

Issue present in 32-bit & 64-bit client.
Audio sources set to 128

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Open Editor
  2. Place Player unit
  3. Place AI unit nearby
  4. Force AI unit to fire
  5. Click Preview
  6. Move player character so an object (wall, HESCO, Barrack) is between him and the AI unit

Observed: When the player has line-of-sigh with the shooter, the gun can be heard. If line-of-sight is broken (from a first-person perspective), only the bullet-cracks are heard.

Expected: Gunfire should still be audible from a close distance.

Additional Information

Line-of-sight is from 1st person perspective. Using 3rd person, line-of-sight with the shooter is still possible for the sound-issue to appear.
