Issues with rendering, reflections and shadows
Assigned, NormalPublic

Description

Hello, I encountered some bugs with rendering, reflections and shadows. Some of them might be intended. I am not a programmer so please bare with me if I made some mistakes. Most of these bugs are minor, but I still wanted to mention them. My video settings can be seen in the first video. Sorry for not opening a ticket for each issue, i hope it helps nevertheless.

#1 Trees and objects popping in and out/ changing their texture quality. This is the most important bug, because it affects gameplay in a quite bad way (especially when you want to spot other players and zoom in). 00:08-00:26 : the 5 trees I am running towards are changing their leaf density in a jumpy way. I hope this is fixable. Also I noticed that at 00:15-00:18 their leaf density increases again and quickly decreases. This is probably not intended.
Furthermore I noticed that at 00:16-00:24 the windows of the two bright buildings to the right of the trees are flickering. Something similar happened in Video [2] with the fence in the rear of the front fence starting at 00:18.
At 00:12-00:15 on the right end next to the brown house you can see the lighting of a fence pop in.
You can also see the leaf density popping at the end of the video starting at 00:36 when zooming in and out. I hope it is possible to maybe interpolate these issues or optimize them in any way? Video [1] https://youtu.be/ggHSO6gm4kE

#2 The character sort of enlightens the fence in front of him. You can see it in this video. Focus on the edge of the character (for instance the axe) and you will notice that the fence behind it gets brighter for some reason. However i did not notice this on stone walls or houses. #3 There are no proper reflections in windows (probably intended). Video [3] https://youtu.be/ph1MsSKGnJ4

#4 I noticed some stuttering with tree shadows and building shadows. However they are not always reproducible and are somehow connected to the distance between player and the tree/house and the rendering of said objects. In Video [5] it is caused only by camera movement. Video [4] https://youtu.be/ES73X22HU8s and Video [5] https://youtu.be/WA0WqqXT2_Q

#5 Tree shadow stuttering. Here you can see the shadow stuttering without any character movement involved. This maybe can be resolved with some kind of interpolation? Video [5] https://youtu.be/h3vAliWC7UM

#6 Secondary light sources have no effect on the character. So in this case I placed a glow stick on the ground and went into the house. Although the door is white and should reflect some light to the character, it does not do that. Probably intended. Screen: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=846637991

#7 Light reflection from glow sticks and torches on metal surfaces sometimes seems not optimized. In this video you can see the reflection intensity increasing way too fast (from no reflection to full reflection in one or two steps) and the unproportional light reflection from said metal surfaces compared to other ones (in this video: stone wall). This probably needs more testing and optimization. Video [6] https://youtu.be/uyFcVXtk41o

so issue #1 is still happening.. can we expect something to change here? i still think this weird behavior of leaf density is not intended :)
