Ingame resolution stuck at 1920x1080 and won't change.
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

Ok so a little pre-story: After 0.60 the game left me only two options considering the ingame resolutions - 1920x1080 and 1366x768, which was already quite strange since I used to be able to select any resolution I wanted (it's still the case in other games).

Now: After yesterdays stable update the game is stuck at 1920x1080 resolution and it won't change. I have 1366x768 option in game settings, but when I try to apply it - the screen goes black for a second but the resolution is still at 1920. I tried to change and delete my config, to set it "read only" - it doesn't help. Even if i have lower resolution in config, in game it's still 1080p. I tried to change my windows resolution - still the same.
Before this few days ago i tried to play on experimental server (.61 with vehicles enabled) - i experienced the same problem, but it worked fine with stable.

P.S. It's a very big deal for me, because I play on old notebook and high resolution hurts my FPS a lot.

Even if I delete dayz folder in documents - i have these settings in config by default

language="English";
adapter=-1;
3D_Performance=1500000;
Resolution_Bpp=32;
Render_W=1366;
Render_H=768;
Resolution_W=1366;
Resolution_H=768;
winX=235;
winY=120;
winW=1440;
winH=810;
refresh=-1;
Windowed=0;

FSAA=0;
postFX=0;
HDRPrecision=1;
vsync=0;
ssaoEnabled=0;
AToC=0;
SWLayersCount=0;

But ingame resolution is still stuck at 1080p.

My Notebook is Asus N75SF, standart resolution 1920x1080.

Im having the exact same problem. Playing on a MSI GE60 with the same resolution options and its stuck on 1920x1080 no matter what. I as well experienced the issue after player on the christmas experimental patch with the vehicles. Had no problem prior to that.
My config look a little confusing after trying to change the settings though.

language="English";
adapter=-1;
3D_Performance=23810;
Resolution_Bpp=32;
Render_W=1557;
Render_H=875;
Resolution_W=1366;
Resolution_H=768;
winX=216;
winY=103;
winW=1440;
winH=810;
refresh=-1;
Windowed=0;
WindowedMode=3;
FSAA=0;
postFX=0;
HDRPrecision=8;
vsync=0;
ssaoEnabled=0;
AToC=0;
SWLayersCount=0;
PPAA=0;

Deleting the cfg created a file with the render and resolution setting to 1920x1080. After trying to change the sttings ingame and trying out windowed the file suddenly ended up with

Render_W=1557;
Render_H=875;
Resolution_W=1366;
Resolution_H=768;

The game seems to ignore the settings but it created

Reducing the desktop resolution of windows and then going in windowed mode in dayz seems to be a temporary workaround.

This is how my settings look like when doing that:

language="English";
adapter=-1;
3D_Performance=1500000;
Resolution_Bpp=32;
Render_W=960;
Render_H=540;
Resolution_W=1280;
Resolution_H=720;
winX=152;
winY=77;
winW=960;
winH=540;
refresh=-1;
Windowed=1;
WindowedMode=3;
FSAA=0;
postFX=0;
HDRPrecision=1;
vsync=0;
ssaoEnabled=0;
AToC=0;
SWLayersCount=0;
PPAA=0;

I was able to play with more resonable fps doing this.

Hello Fa1c and thank you for the report.
The change in 0.60 has been due to the way the game detects the resolution. Since 0.60 only the natively supported resolutions are available, however there is no reason for one of the resolutions to stop suddenly working and we will investigate the issue. Please provide us with the dxdiag file from your computer. You can also try the -disable3DRatioCheck launch parameter, which will make all the resolutions available, use it at your own risk though as it can result in issues with misaligned user interface and similar.
Regards,
Geez

Hello Geez, thanks for answer!

Unfortunately the command you mentioned doesn't work for me, I still have only 2 options and only 1 one them works, which makes it almost impossible to play.

I've attached dxdiag and dayz config files.

Update.

I've managed to change ingame resolution to 1366x768 by changing my windows resolution to 1366x768. While with this windows resolution, i can't apply 1920x1020 ingame.

So it basically means that i can apply only the resolution which i use in my windows settings, which is odd to say at least.

Hope it helps to fix the issue, not really fun to change windows resolution everytime ;) !
