Hello DesertRat and thank you for the report.
Do you use any startup parameters? Have you tried various video settings? Does the behaviour change with different settings or is it pretty much the same? Also, can you try deleting the contents of C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ (Be sure to make a back up of the files as deleting them will reset all your keybinds and in game settings) and let us know if doing so has improved the behaviour?

  1. No startup parameters
  2. Yes, I have played around with video settings, (behavior is slightly better with low, low settings - but then game is ugly :))
  3. Will try the deleting the contents of the folder

Deleted contents of folder, fps was worse, would have to go and reset it to what I have to improve.

My tweaked video settings: (let me know if there is anything that I should change)
Render Resolution 100%
Objects: Normal
Terrain: Normal
Clouds: Disabled
Shadows: Very Low
Resolution 1920 - 1080X32
Video Memory: 2gb
Texture Detail: Normal
Antialiasing: Disabled
Alpha To Coverage: Disabled
HDR: Very Low
Post Processing: Normal
Ambient Occlusion: Enabled
Rotation Blur: off

Hello DesertRat.
If it is not a problem, could you send us a dxdiag file from your computer?

Thank you.
We will take a look and see what can be done, however, keep in mind that the game optimisation has not been finished yet and that the performance may vary patch to patch.
