Arma 3 Apex - ERCO Not properly aligned
Reviewed, NormalPublic

Description

Shots hit consistently right of the target when using the ERCO sight in any variant, tested with SPAR-16, 16GL, 16S, have not tested with other 5.56mm weapons. It is Not slight and it does affect long range accuracy, even at 500 meters

Arziben also had this issue with the AK-12 and merged his ticket into mine. I also just tested with the TRG and Mk 20 (the other 5.56 weapons) and the same issue occurs, at least .25-.5m of consistent right dispersion at 500m

Since I assume the ERCO is meant for 5.56mm, I did not elect to test with other caliber weapons

Steps To Reproduce

Add an ERCO sight to a weapon (such as the SPAR-16), attempt to shoot at a target at long range using the Ballistic Drop Compensation reticle. You will find that the projectiles consistently land just to the right of the target

Additional Information

I think this might be the same issue as the AK-12 that was merged, it might just be more or less aligned. <3 Arz, sorry for stealing any thunder of yours :)

7 minutes after mine, but I'm glad to hear you tested it on other rifles, we complete each other ^^

(you didn't steal my thunder, I'm the one who merged the task, it's fine, I just want issues to be solved miiiiiin)

When I compared it with the ARCO the aim point also seemed LOW, as well as to the left, of point of impact. As an after though could adding a point to the descriptions in game, to clarify which calibre each optic is calibrated for (if they are), be considered. As the trajectories seem to vary with calibre (as they should :)).

@nemot
I think BIS' logic (and I kind of agree here) is that the optics' BDC pairing would be self-evident given the weapons they are nominally paired with. For example, the RCO is meant for 6.5mm NATO as it's paired with the MX, the ARCO is meant for 6.5mm CSAT (and works with 5.8mm DBP out to 5-600m), the MRCO is meant for 5.56mm as its paired with the TRG and Mk 20, and the ERCO is meant for 5.56mm as well as it's paired with the SPAR. As far as I know, there isn't any specific 7.62mm pairing as all of those weapons are used with adjustable optics

That has been my assumption up until now. It only occurred to me when I considered my ranging in comparing the ARCO and the ERCO to be down to calibre. I original thought that the ARCO was calibrated for the 6.5 katiba but seems to be for the 7.65 guns. You are right that my low aim was because I was testing for the SPAR 17 not the SPAR 16, my error, as I thought with the SPAR 16 that level of precision isn't required in the optic as the gun cannot manage it. I just meant for clarification.

I got a video where the target is 200m away - you can see the bullet hit on the right sideof the reticle.
I used a SPAR 16 and Bipod - all MODS disabled.
I cannot upload the video, so here is a link to DB https://www.dropbox.com/s/ebruv0blz9aerrr/ERCO_misaligned.zip?dl=0

Currently on 1.64 RC Branch - Virtual Arsenal, AK-12, no Mods enabled.
Missalignement is very clear with the AK-12 - however, if the ERCO is mounted, the crosshair of ERCO is on point, not the ironsight of the AK-12.

I've made a video demonstrating the issue.
