After fixing up a bus and driving about 500 meters at most I have to say it hasn't differed in any way with my experiences with the V3S. Several things to point out here.

1. Cant remove tires or battery with ANY tool after attached.
2. Ruined battery still works just fine. I did try to drag and drop a damaged battery from bus inventory onto the hooked up and ruined but still working battery and the second time I dragged and dropped it, it vanished from existence.
3. Inventory of bus may or may not be screwy. I noticed that with the pipe wrench and the extra tire I had in the bus inventory that if it were inhabiting the bottom row in the inventory there was no render of the avatar for them. (may have been happenstance - haven't tried it elsewhere).
4. The bus drives itself. I made it down the road a ways and was feeling good about things but when I got just outside of Cherno (where I found the bus) the bus began to steer itself. I gathered that the elevation was controlling it in the direction of the ocean. I could not steer it even a little bit. I put it in reverse and it went forward. I turned left and it went right. I just went with it and drove into the ocean.
5. You can drive the thing underwater. You could go as far as you wanted to underwater in the bus. I know you are (or used to) be able to do that same thing with the V3S.
6. When you take a damaged tire and make it into a double tire (with the wizard powers you obviously haven't fully harnessed) it makes the tire(s) pristine.
