Not exactly a game-breaking bug, but I figured it wasn't supposed to work this way.

Hello Tatanko and thank you for the report.
The drill kit should not be consumed upon successful ignition of improvised torch, however the fact that it is being consumed upon successful ignition of fireplace is a bug and it has been scheduled for a fix.

I'll double-check that today to be absolutely sure, but thank you for the response. Good to know what the intended behavior is supposed to be.

Can confirm, Hand Drill Kit was consumed when I ignited a fireplace. Tested it twice, once on a fireplace made using rags and another made using oak bark. My kit was consumed each time.

Hello Tatanko.
The issue has been fixed internally and should be fixed on Steam soon - successful ignition of fireplace should no longer consume the kit.

Geez

I used a hand drill kit to light a Long Torch, yesterday on Experimental servers. It still consumed the kit. @Geez
