Description

Ghost sounds are still present on 0.58 stable. I can be on a zero pop server or in the middle of the woods and I hear doors opening or closing. this is not the sounds of a fence blowing in the wind. It's definitely a door

I think it could be the sound of some fence or gate, but it's strange if you hear it in middle of the field/woods. Another weird thing is that the sound is everytime same(intensity, tone, distance).

trust me its not a fence or gate. I know what a door sounds like and im telling you that ghost sounds are still there

@Basy40: I'd agree with reporter radar. The ghost sound I encounter from time to time is something like a gate opening/closing sound with a squeaky sound. It rarely occurs in deep forests, however in radius of about 500-1000m of villages the sound is more likely to occur.

Comparing to 0.57 there is much less ghost sounds and it's good those soda cans opening sound and eating sounds are eliminated but still it would be nice to detect the source of that particular ghost sound.

I suppose it is some kind of a placeholder sound which has been left since the early stage of development.

It would be nice to have the possibility to creating a log file with usage of every sound we hear with timestamps. That and some testing should locate the ghost sound quite fast.

@Geez: Anything we can test some more? Any test scenario?

For all I know the ghost sound is not connected to any of the character originated sound effects so It probably is a sound of the environment (you can be alone on the server IMHO).

Any means of creating logs?
