Crafted items seem to occasionally disappear. For example I sharpened 2 sticks and they never appeared near me. I back tracked and circled around in case they were 'stuck' on a building but they were not anywhere.
I assembled a trumpet from the ground and it disappeared.
I crafted an improvised backpack and the backpack did not appear.
Craft any item that would be expected to appear on the ground.

We have tested this thoroughly but unfortunately we were unable to reproduce the issue you have described. This could have been caused by the various desync issues, which we are aware of and they have been scheduled for a fix.
