My character was full green hydration and dark green energized. i stopped in a forest to have a quick snack,so took my recently cooked human steak and tried to eat. got error saying there was an error putting item into hand, tried again with different piece again same meg, tried once more same meg. Decided to change server and when i logged in was dying from dehydration and hunger, my steaks were still there along with everything else so nothing was eaten. thankfully i had loads of food and water to recover.

This is a known issue. You don't even really need to overfeed yourself that much, apparently, but something happens that gets your stomach "überstuffed" to the point that it doesn't even register in your inventory.
In your inventory, you look, for example, energized and thirsty in the yellow, so that you think you should drink. THen you go to a pump and drink and drink and drink, and nothing changes (also not getting "stuffed")
When you eat and drink like hell and nothing changes, there are only two things you can do:
- Wait it out until your bar drops down a notch (for example hungrier, thirstier or if you have "stuffed" it goes away) until you eat and drink again.
- Get some food and drink in your inventory, log out and back in and when you have everything in the red immediately drink something, eat something (in that order) and then eat and drink what you have left.

This happened to me as well. Logged out full green and healthy.
Logged in later and was dying of both hunger and dehydration.
