[0.55.126981 exp.]Crash and an usual report when joining a specific server
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When I joined an UK exp. server, the game crashed and a window popped up saying:

"Cannot open file
'C:/Users/"MY_NAME"/AppData/Local/DayZ/tmp/_cur_mp.ebo'"

Edit: This is what I discovered:

When I create the tmp -folder, the game deletes it and crashes and gives the message when I join an UK or DE server. But when I join a GD server, it doesn't crash, but deletes the tmp -folder after logging out of the GD server.

This is really annoying!

Hello _M4Z_TeR_.
Guessing from the edits, the issue has been resolved?

@Geez Well, when I joined a GD server, I didn't crash, but when I joined an UK server, I crashed and got that message.

Edit: I joined another DE server and crashed and got the message...

I also noticed that the game deletes the tmp-folder every time I log out of a GD server or if the game crashes.

can you plase acknowlege this bug for once?
my tickets have all been closed, since we got this issue fixed everytime for the moment, but since it reoccures every now end then, it might be worth investigating the dump files

Hello _M4Z_TeR_.
By the way, are you running the game with -dologs parameter? If so, please remove it as it is advised to use it only when attempting to get crashlogs from recurring issues as it seems to crash the game with this particular error message.

Geez

@Geez I believe I actually have set it to my launch options.

I'll dee if it gets fixed after I've deleted it.

Thanks for the tip!

I deleted -dologs and I no longer get that message.

Thanks for informing of this!
