A 1x1 sized rain poncho that can be opened up and equipped to the torso or head slot. (perhaps OVER current clothing rather than in place of) This would keep you from getting soaked from rain and it would allow you to wear whatever clothes you wanted instead of making sure you're rain proof early in the game. Dying of freezing to death from being wet is somewhat common.
