Same problem, but it happens when I shoot a zed, I'm using the double barrel shot gun. Game doesn't crash when I shoot at nothing though, seems to only happen when killing a zed. Closes Dayz and says it's not responding.

I think it's either blood or a death that causes the crash. It's happened to me while killing player too.
Afterwards it takes a few minutes (maybe 10 mins) before I'm able to log back into the same server.
If I attempt to log back onto server before 10 mins it crashes again. Hence me thinks it's blood and the body is still there bleeding.

Usually the zombie is dead and gone when I log back in.
