I have only found books and chemlights and possibly few pairs of boots. No guns, nothing special.
It all started to happen when 0.48 hit the stable.
I used to find clothes, melee weapons and sometimes guns from them, but now...nothing.

Confirmed. Fresh spawned yesterday morning and spent nearly two hours on an empty, fresh started server, visiting four police stations. The only weapon I ever found was a baseball bat. Also, one pack of .45 ACP ammo.
Other than that, absolutely nothing useful. It's like they had been picked dry, but as I said, I observed the server and was alone the full two hours. I also am 100% sure the server had started when I joined in because I was in before fighting a zombie, server ended, I looked in a building I was just in and found a weapon I needed.
Police stations have been nerfed to the point that they are pointless.
Police cars are mega rare. I have found one single police car since the "hotfix"

@ColonelBurton yep, same goes with me. But I haven't even found any ammo for anything.
Plus I haven't even found a police car yet since the patch that made them randomly spawn somewhere. I know there was a bug that made them invisible, but the loot was still there, and that hasn't happened to me.

I have found weapons in police stations... but i agree in every server with persistence on, the polices stations have been empty a while ago and no loots are spawning back ever since... But that is not relative to police stations it is like that in every building for all persistent servers i have visited.

Nope, same is with all the servers. There is just spawning some books, maybe pairs of jogging shoes, probably an apple, a matchstick box, and other almost useless stuff.
I have not seen anything worth taking in a really long while.
The same thing is affecting other buildings. Trucks, the military cars, construction yards and few other places are not spawning anything anymore or just some useless stuff, meaning the places are best to be just left alone.

This Could be an issue with it being a persistent server when the loot does not respawn until the max items has been reached.

I have not been able to reproduce the issue and everything seems to be configured correctly. As suggested above, this might have been a server-specific problem caused by issues with persistence which we are aware of.
