I heard people talking about this. I have checked more than 20-30 helicrashes yesterday but haven't found any smersh vest so far.

Same here, never seen the thing before except in screenshots and CA.

I have found one at a crashed heli site located south of the runway at NWAB in a crashed russian helicopter that was sunk into the ground halfway. Never found one in a US helicopter crash. Vest was found on 9/22/14.

Hi survivors,
I have verified that the Smersh vest and backpack do indeed spawn - they are just very rare. The probability of it spawning might be tweaked in the future.
