[suggestion/bug?] option to drag loot from vicinity/inventory into hands and vice versa
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

i know there is the option "take into hands" however most of the time it'd be more intuitive being able just to drag an object into the "hands"-slot and also vice versa.

why can't i just remove e.g. a can of beans from my hands, back into the backpack just by dragging it from A to B? this is only possible if A) the object in question is also in the hotbar and selected via hotbar or B) i drag a certain (but not even all kinds of objects, only certain ones) , different object onto the "hands"-slot.

still a problem! try to equip a can of beans (not in hotbar) and then get rid of it by dragging it back to the inventory...it doesn't work, which is imo inconvenient to say the least. it might not be a bug but a flaw in design nevertheless.

Hi Joe and thanks for letting us know!
This is indeed a result of some problematic parts of the inventory implementation. While I am going to close this ticket for now (as we are aware of the state and it is semi-intended at the moment), rest assured that we will eventually be changing and improving the whole system.
Thank you,
Andy
