For us this bug could mostly be removed by taking axe into hands.

Also related to the long "waiting for host" is the massive character reset from my experience. I had no char resets as soon as i began to immediately disconnect if the wait for host is longer than 2-3 seconds.

I now discovered i get a session lost after some minutes every time.

I think BattleEye integration in the game has to be reviewed.
