Can confirm I also experienced the same issue, It seems to happen about 30 seconds after respawning every time I die.

The developers confirmed there is a performance decrease in the offline mode due to having to render loot, zombies, animals etc locally (Not via the server).

Also the same issue, friend and I both had black faces, the game then crashed upon exit.
