Switching to 64bit windows solved this bug for me as suggested by some users.
My new HDD and 64bit OS will be delayed, I will update as soon as I upgrade. Reinstalled Dayz experimental yesterday, after 3-4 minutes my game froze for a moment, and after a minute it started lagging as usual. (I spawned in Novodmitrovsk, the more loot or buildings around the faster it lags out for me)
I will be formatting C:/ and installing a 64bit system next week. Hopefully this bug is fixed in it. As previously mentioned, the game did run good before the 0.48 or whatever patch.
My speculation is that because of persistence and flawed loot spawning mechanic your 32bit system gets overwhelmed (of the large amount of "dynamic" objects" or something. 64bit may be a sollution.
I will write back as soon as I reinstall next week.
I just played the 0.5, and it happened again, in exactly 10-15 minutes of playing. I was getting 35-155fps in Three Valleys, and then my CPU or GPU fans went crazy for a few seconds, after which it all froze and unfroze after a bit later, with 7fps and low-poly graphics.
My Textures were set on medium, objects on medium, and everything else on low/super low.
I was playing Arma II Taviana Overpoch/Origins, and it helped me to "Shift-Flush" every 10 minutes, but it rarely helps to "flush" after the big lag. Hope this helps!
CPU: AMD 6300
GPU: R7 250X
RAM: 4 GB
It happens to me on ArmaII Dayz mod as well. It looks like it's a texture/vram issue. I have a R7 250X with 2056MB, so I don't understand how it could be an issue. I will try to lower my texture resolution today and see how it goes in the new patch.
Played on experimental today, and after 5 minutes it happened again - missing or bad quality textures and low-poly models, and very low fps. Flushing, and rejoining server didn't help, only full game restart did.
The latest experimental seems to fix it, but it still happens every 5-10 minutes for a second - as if the world refreshes. Thank you! It was impossible to play before.
