I can confirm this is no longer an issue for myself, though I noticed my Language was set to Disabled instead of English as my usual choice. I will keep an eye on it and any other issues I come across I'll post.

I've had this issue with the Infected that wear the Red headtorch, but I've had no issues removing the battery from the Infected wearing the White Headtorch. Xbox.
