Played for 3 hours last night with no issues! NWAF was a loot-a-palooza! Nobody shot me in the face! Can't wait to check out Novaya Petrovka. Thanks dev team.

Played Experimental on the weekend, the issue is still there. The AA Low-to-Off/ Off-to-Low fixes it but it recurs after 10 minutes or so. I've also been having game crashes at least once a session lately. Game lags to a standstill and either goes low FPS or crashes. Loot is kind of weird now, the Police Station in Dolina had a ridiculous number of backpacks and shoes, but not much in the way of weapons. On the upside, I haven't died of hypothermia or starvation lately. So I got that going for me, which is nice. Not so nice is the random character wipes and local (Northeast US) servers with good ping and zero players that I can't log into no matter how long I "Please Wait..." That being said...still got totally psyched by the Truck Teaser video 'leaked' today.
Hi Andy,
I was able to play Experimental (That's Experimental UPDATE .50 ahtawulfa) for a couple of hours with no issues, but I headed inland right away after I spawned so I wasn't in any large cities at any point. Next time I'm in I'll head for somewhere busier and see what happens. Thanks for checking in with us, some of us appreciate everything you guys are doing.
I tried experimental last night and had the same issue; until I tried the video memory to 256 thing. After that the game ran without bogging down every 2-3 minutes. It still happened occasionally, sometimes after 30 minutes, sometimes immediately after spawning, but changing AA back and forth fixed it. I also had one crash to desktop. So it seems that the 256 fix is a good temporary solution, gets you playing again, but the issue is still lurking below the surface.
Not solved here either. Removed -malloc last week. No change.
For what it's worth, the SSD that my DayZ files are on also has Windows 8 Consumer Preview on it. (I usually play on Windows7 on a regular HD accessing the DayZ files on the SSD.) I tried firing up Windows 8 and playing on it and it worked fine! So maybe Ded100let is onto something, maybe it's not a hardware thing but an OS thing? In any case, no amount of tweaking the settings has fixed my Windows 7 install yet.
UPDATE: Never mind, after installing Windows 8.1 on the SSD and playing for 10-15 minutes, I get the same thing only not as severe. i.e. textures disappear, game slows down, but it seems to correct itself after 20-30 seconds. ESCing out to the menu and changing a setting fixes it temporarily, but then it's back again.
Hey All,
Same issue here. Windows 7 32-bit, Intel Pentium D945 3.4, Galaxy GT430, 3GB OCZ DDR2, DayZ files on SSD. After 5-10 minutes game slows down, character goes low-poly, textures disappear; no walls or ceilings if I'm inside a building, but loot floats in place. Thanks to everyone with suggestions, I'll give them a try.
