I had the same problem. Here's how I fixed it:
.delete all .dll files in the ARMA DLL folder sans the readme
.restart STEAM
.do not verify game cache/files
.start game. Enjoy
See my ticket here. This 'work around' has helped a few people:
I had this problem as well. Delete all .dll files in the ARMA DLL folder, except the readme. Restart STEAM but do not verify game cache.
I've noticed this issue for a while now. Up voted.
Submitted this ticket in April. How about a little love, Iceman?
After several months of the above work-around used to avoid crashes, the work-around no longer works. Game has begun crashing again after the 1.34 patch/update. Usually, after a couple of hours of play time.
Also noticed I sometimes get an 'out of memory' windows dialogue screen, something I've never seen before with this system. Played about 1,500 hours of ARMA 3 and have never seen this before. Not every crash produces this error, though.

Been 10 days since my initial report. Have your programmers been able to come up with anything?
I see the frequency of crash reports similar to mine increasing, not only here, but around the net as well. Surely you must have some insight by now.
Thanks.
The game continues to crash post 1.18 as originally described. Added additional crash dumps.
After downloading this weeks hotfix, I played for about 35 min. and crashed.
I then deleted all .dll files in the ARMA 3 DLL folder, sans the readme. Restarted STEAM, but did not verify files (obviously). I was able to put in about 28 hours of MP play, most of which was on various King of the Hill servers before it crashed again (faulting module was ntdll.dll - haven't seen that one before). Played another 2.5 hrs. without a crash, then, called it a night.
I can live with a crash every 30 hrs. or so but will continue to monitor and make notes if issues come up.
Take from that what you will.
Great to hear, Iceman.
As the game continues to crash, I have more dumps if you need them.
Game continues to crash with 1.20 and the new memory allocators. My work around still works, however.
Hello Iceman;
Were you able to glean anything pointing to a problem on my end?
Do you need anything further from me?
Thanks
