Nuts added a comment to T74961: Black screen at Camp Maxwell; no visual but game is still (somewhat) playable.
The only way I could get around it is I copied the save games from my desktop to my laptop, started the Tipping Point mission, saved it. Then recopied my save game from my laptop and transferred back to my desktop.

I have been trying for a long time now and tired of trying, I have been attempting the space bar trick, all seems to go well, I can shoot and reload and open my inventory but I am unable to open the Strategic Map.
