I had a character reset happen to me in the same fashion last night (12/30/2013). I did log off (on 12/27/2013) near another player (he was 2 or 3 houses down from where I was), but I did not have any zombie aggression. When I logged on last night my character was reset.

I have also experienced this issue. I was able to enter the castle and my body was clipping in the floor. I attempted to go up stair that is inside the building and then I clipped through the stair and was stuck. Within 5 seconds of clipping through the stair I was dead. I received the "You are Dead" black screen.
