Well I would say a solid reason why games get worse as the company gets bigger is because they feel the need to cater to every minority that plays the game. Obviously there are exceptions, but stick to what the majority of the player base is concerned about and you'll have a very well done game that has it's priorities straight. I don't mind extra stuff put into the game when and only when the devs have every other priority item done with first.

Using League of Legends is a bad example considering they highly over sexualize the female characters and people don't play the champions because of the gender they play them for their skills.

Exactly. The bigger game companies with a lot more staff and budget will add many extra things because they have the time and the money for it. BI needs to focus on all the core elements right now and leave extra's for DLC or an expansion. Let's get the core game out first before worrying about any little extras.
