If you want your character to be saved make a few things:

After you get the message about restart click exit.
Click again exit in server window.
Wait until you character load in start window.
In server list find your server, but not enter.
Wait until server time will be 14.00 or 15.00, not 08.00, 9.20, 12.00, exactly 14.00 or 15.00.
After that you can connect to server and see you saved character.

This help me on daylight servers.

I wish this will help to all survivers.)))
