I can vouch for this too.
I will be looting a body, or a car, and clicking on an item, or not, and bam, crash.
It's extremely unpredictable, very odd wildcard.
Only happens when in an inventory screen.
Other crashes do occur of course, driving around, sitting back and watching the scenery, about to shoot down an enemy chopper...

Turning down view distance helped for me, but just like everyone else, all usages very low.
