I was told by a dev. But I take it with a grain of salt. I did hear that the Wired Headphones from Xbox ($59) one works. But I agree you shouldn’t have to spend money for a game to work.

It will be fixed but give them some time. It’s a known issue. A fix is out there but which build it is has not been confirmed. Might be a few more weeks. Stay patient

Same issue with Xbox chat communicator headset

I am having the same issue with Xbox chat headset. All audio comes through the headset instead of tv. Voice should be the only thing in the headset. Using Xbox series X
