The direct cause of the dissapearing items is not exactly known hence i am attempting to ask devs if they are aware of such issues. Some admins and modders have said to me the persistence problem is known to the developers and they are working towards a fix but i cannot find any proof of this on any forum online.
From what i am told as well as noticing from my own in game experience, is that when you bury a chest or any form of stash, or place any tent, or build a wall, after a while they are just gone.vanish. currently some community servers seem to be facing some issues around crashes and these are happening frequently. whether the cause is the server crashing, restarting or a development bug, these cannot be 100% clarified. but it is happening and it is happening alot.
Any information around persistence from developers would be greatly appreciated and i can forward the information back to the Dayz community.

so is it just all community servers? ive talked to server admins across 4 different heavily populated community servers and they all say persistence is completely broken. if there is any advice or instructions i could pass onto these admins as to how to resolve these issues that would be fantastic but even still. having persistence only working on official hosts is still a massive issue. why release modding support if nobody will play on modded servers due to zero ability to store gear?
