I have the exact same issue, tried everything you've tried aswell. It stared with 0.49

No, it just freezes. Like I said, I can still hear background sounds (wind and such) and move my mouse cursor, but the game itself is frozen.

This started with 0.49, I've never had this issue before. I'll go ahead and upload my dxdiag for you aswell.

You're probably trying to change your rendering resolution.

In Configure, click 'Video' then 'User Interface' and you should have a drop down menu for resolution, set that to 1980x1080.

Now go back to Video and change your rendering resolution to match that, it should say 100%.

Try again, it was probably just because 0.49 was moving to stable.
