Game Crashes/Freezes every 10 to 15 minutes
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

After about 10 or 15 minutes of gameplay DayZ crashes along with Steam. I have verified integrity, reinstalled the game. Installed the game to my SSD, lowered textures. Windowed mode was enabled. I am running it in Administrator mode and in W7 compatibility, which made the game go from crashing to desktop to just freezing and then I just have to end the process in task manager.

It happens regardless of where I am, I can be running through a field and it'll crash. Same with a forest or a city like berezino. I have been sitting in a building just west of Berezino (just testing to see if I keep crashing) and I always crash after about 15 minutes.

I should also add that this only started happening Wednesday after the most recent server maintenance or whatever is being done on Wednesday mornings.

Hey,

Thanks for the report and the files. We will look into the issue as soon as possible. Please keep testing the game and watch this issue.

Thank you!

Hi,

there were some efforts to fix the problem in the latest Experimental patch. Please try connecting to an Experimental server to see if you still experience this problem.

In case you do, please do the following:

  1. Exit the game
  2. Go to your AppData folder
  3. Delete your .mdmp, .bidmp and .rpt files
  4. Run the game and try to get the game crash again
  5. Go to your AppData folder
  6. Once again pack all the files into a .zip/.rar archive and upload it here

If you submit new crash dumps, we will have a second look at the problem.

Thank you!
