Crashes Within 30 Seconds Of Attempted Play
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Game consistently crashes, regardless of server or driver version. Once open and server is selected, the game will process slowly for five seconds, freeze for one and then begin moving before finally freezing and crashing the whole window. The "DayZ is not responding" window will pop up and then end the program.

I have rolled back my drivers as well as tried the latest beta driver for my Nvidia GeForce 460. There is no way to get the game to play for more than five minutes.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the game several times with no success on getting it working.

Please assist and thank you for your time.

Hello,

Please let us know in the note section if you are still able to reproduce this issue on the latest Development build.

If so, please send us a dxdiag report and files from this folder: "C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\"

If the *.rar is smaller than 5.000KB, you can attach it here.
In case it's larger than that, please try uploading it to a file sharing website and link it here.

For future reports please refer to the "How to guide" http://feedback.dayzgame.com/how-to-user.html

Thank you.

I am sorry but there is no such directory in my computer, and ideas why this would be?

Also, I uploaded my DxDiag from system32. Hope that helps.

Hi,

Try opening the start menu and typing

%localappdata%/dayz

into the search box. Press enter and the correct folder should open.

I was able to locate it that way and upload it, thank you.

May I just add to this and say I went and got Arma 2 and OA on steam today and that version works just fine. I don't think it's my rig because of that.

Hey,

Thanks for the report and the files. We will look into the issue as soon as possible. Please keep testing the game and watch this issue.

Thank you!

This issue remains unresolved, with the new updates. Is there maybe a time frame for when it might change?

Hi Pandasharpie,
terribly sorry for the delay.
Is this still an issue? If so, we will need you to reproduce the crash again and then upload the recent DxDiag and AppData files again.
Thank you,
Andy
