This happened to me very often too. By the way, I can remember a little soundbug right before it crashed.

i was able to figure out what caused my crashes.

Even though I turned off my antivir, the DayZ process was "sandboxed" by another part of the antivir program.

After shutting down the second component, I had no more errors.

Can you tell me how you did this exactly? Im using Avira AntiVir

Please try to reproduce this issue on the latest experimental build.

When reporting a crash you need to upload a dxdiag report and the files from
C:/Users/<Name>/AppData/Local/DayZ/

Pack the files into a .rar file - if the RAR is smaller than 5000KB, you can attach it here. If it's larger, please upload it to a file sharing website and link it here.

I can open the folder exactly as you said, but when i open "User" there are 4 other folders, but none called AppData. There are 2 folders named after the 2 user accounts, 1 named UpdatusUser and the fourth one is called Public, in that Folder i can find "AppData", but in this one is just a folder called "Local", followed by an empty folder called "temp".

What do i do now?

If you open the Start Menu, type

%localappdata%/DayZ

into the search box and press Enter it should open the right folder.

I added a .rar-file, called "DayZ.rar".

Somewhere i read that i can await an answer in 1 or 2 days. Is that right ?

Since two days i cant even play longer than 20 minutes, problem is worsen.

In the meantime, have you tried playing the experimental build? The issue might have already been fixed.

We do respond within two days to most crashes, but that is not counting weekends. We get a bit lazy on weekends :)

do you already find a solution for my problem, or is it making more trouble than you expected?

You say you have a 32 bit system but have 50 fps all time, so im guessing that you have a strong PC ,which means that you should play on 64 instead of 32bit. Try formating your pc and changing to 64 bit or just wait for the answer form the dev because maybe something else is causing the crash in your game. I had the same issue and changing to 64bit helped me.

prefer waiting for a dev :)) . maybe they have an other solution, dont really wanna buy 64bit yet

hm i alos thinkd about problem with 64/32 bit..

but why i should change the OS? its crazy

i and a good friend of mine have the same problem

we both have 32bit win7, and different systems.. settings etc

it seems to come up on regular and hardcore.. mybe with wrong signature of a .pbo file?

Luckily, my brother found a license for 64-bit Windows, which i installed instantly. Im playing for an hour now and not a single crash yet. Going offline, tomorrow i will test it again.

Dayz is going to be 64bit only so you should consider changing it, they said it in their devblog , it's not just my opinion.And apart from that most new games run on 64bit.

it seems that this crash is caused by not enough memory being available for the game to use. Please try shutting down any needless processes that you run under DayZ. Also try scanning your PC thoroughly with anti-virus/spyware tools.

Upgrading to a x64 system is a sound suggestion as x32 will not be supported later on. It will also allow use of more memory.

somewhere i read that DayZ doesnt use more than 2 GB RAM anyway. Isn't 4 GB RAM enough, normally?

like I said, x32 will not be supported in the future as we are working on a new x64 version which will also allow for the use of more memory.

I've been getting this problem when playing on Experimental servers.
I play on Windows 8, 32 bit.
I receive an error message saying DayZ has stopped working properly, usually after servers restart.
