I remember drinking from this pond before, I have also tried a lake and it didn't work. Please catch this before it is pushed to stable.

Wells still work. If I couldn't drink from wells, I would say "unable to drink from wells"

Not entirely sure if it'll work on that particular water source you're at, but I have to go 1st person view usually to drink. I recommend trying that on that water source to see if it's a viewpoint thing or not.
