As soon as two of us try to play via same router(obviously) one of us disconnects and the other is able to resume as normal. Desync shoots up to 100000 for the one and the other has normal ping and desync. Not sure how to resolve and would really like to be able to play other than by myself.

Hi,
this is an issue with some routers. One of you will need to set a launch parameter for DayZ so that the connection is routed through a different port.
You can do that this way:
- Rightclick DayZ in the Steam library
- Click properties
- Click "Set Launch Options"
- Enter "-port+1" into the field (without the quotes)
Try running the game then.
Remember that only one of you should do this. The other player doesn't have to do anything.
