I've noticed that sometimes when you come back across your own corpse you can't loot it and sometimes you can. Is this a bug or part of the game?

you cant loot yourself after about 10 minutes. Its "hidden" from you, even if you can still see it.

or someone came across and hid the body. no bug

I would say this is related to 0009869 which describes the problem better. As I came also in this circumstances a few days ago on experimental, I would say it is a bug.

The body should vanish for all OR should be visible and "lootable" for all.
