If an admin decides to kick you 5 times your character is reset to new spawn status.

I have not yet tried to see if getting kicked from different servers adds to your limit of 5 yet

that may be intended as a punishment system, instead of a ban after 5 kicks, you lose your gear....course I could be wrong
