When you add a silencer to the FNX45, the silencer "sticks out" of the left side of the 2x2 icon in your inventory. It doesn't take up more space in your bag, but the icon of it overlaps whatever is to the left.

I can confirm this and if the fnx with attached silencer was f.e. in 8 slot tko vest and the other slots where also equipped with items, one of the items gets randomly erased after relog.
