I climbed into one of the green guard towers at NWAF in the tents area. It was one of those metal one, not the camo net ones. I selected the option to go down on the ladder, and the character just fell to his death.

I was in First Person View.
The fall was only about 10 ft. No way in hell you should die from that distance unless you fell head first and broke your neck.
