If you unload a magazine in your inventory while it is completely full of items, your ammo depletes from the mag but does not show in/disrupt your inventory or your items. Your clip remains w/o ammo.

Clicking "Empty" on a magazine in inventory while all inventory squares are filled.
Minor bug but an inconvenient find.
Event Timeline
Do you have an Ammo Box? I thought this was happening to me but apparently it ended up in my ammo box.
if it is full, its gone. Even possible with mag outside inventory empty it...bullets are gone.
The 7.62 ammo brown box, this happened to me as well. It was on the table and I emptied it so I could use it for my mosin, and the ammo disappeared completely.
A full inventory or unloading the box on the ground (not in inventory) seems to destroy the rounds.
The same when you empting magazine outside of character slots (for example: when you empting magazine that lay on the ground).
Emptying magazine in the [Vicinity] slot, the ammo disappears instead of going to inventory.
I had it happen twice. I had a non-full ammo box, a half empty mag and 1 empty slot in inventory.
A buddy died so I emptied a mag he had on him(as in, in the inventory of his dead body)... poof ammo gone. Checked the box, checked the ground, checked the mag in my inventory, checked the empty slot in my inventory.
Later on, I tried to do the same thing with a box of ammo (for the m4 that was sitting on a shelf in vicinity) and the same thing happened... poof ammo gone. If that would have happened earlier tonight, I would have been really bummed but I just got back from NE airfield and was stocked up so it really wasn't a huge deal.
After looking around for days, I finally find a box of ammo for my Mosin! Then I empty it and the rounds evaporate. LOL GG DEAN
Also emptying a mag rarely gives you the right ammount of ammo back, usually you get only 10-20 rounds, even when you empty full 40-60 round mags.
Happened to me as well, but after some time the bullets appeared inside my inventory. Seems to be laggy
