Description

I searched through all the issues regarding items and I have yet to find anything relating to my question.

First of all I am trying to figure out how long an item will stay on the ground if I drop it out of my inventory. I was really low on blood and was going to die soon anyways so I put all of my items into my mountain backpack and my ballistic vest. I placed them on top of a tower that the normal player would never think to go on top of because there is no loot there. I then proceeded to jump off the tower killing myself. It took me about an hour to get back to where I had dropped the backpack and the vest and they were gone. 6 hours of play went poof.

2nd part of it which I do know there is a bunch of threads about it, but it is kinda a serious issue. The fact that when you die your body disappears almost instantly.

I will be doing some extensive testing on this to find out whether or not the items durability will affect how long an item will stay on the ground for etc.

has anyone been able to successfully test this? I have been unsuccessful in testing the items rate as to how long it will stay on server after you drop an item

This is a bug tracker, not a forum. Post your question in the forums and don't clog up the tracker.

Like /u/im_orange has said, don't use this as a forum.

But as an answer, until the server is reset, it will stay where it was last placed. Servers reset at a rate available by the host.

this is a legit question because it is kinda bugged at the moment. I have had an item stay on the ground for as short as 10 seconds, and I have had an item stay for about an hour and a half.

This the 2nd time you've put suggestions into a Bug Report System. That is NOT a bug. Someone PLEASE remove him from the Reporter List!

tony how about you STFU you are just a freaking troll. It technically is a BUG if the time an item lasts isn't static. if you put 2 pristine backpacks down and one goes away in 10 seconds and one lasts an hour and a half it is bugged so get a life and stop trolling
