Unreliable and Imprecise Player Movement
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Player/User movement is unreliably imprecise. Player movement is difficult to control and unreliable in combat. At times it feels so clunky and imprecise it can take more than one attempt to get through a doorway.

It's probably an issue with how the engine handles movement but really should be improved if possible.

Move anywhere with WASD. Try to enter doorways, peek from doorways, strafe, or engage in PVP combat.

Additional Information

Improving player movement would greatly enhance my gameplay experience. I thoroughly enjoy games where I can stop, move, and turn on a dime. Refer to Half-Life 2 for ideal player movement.

+1

At the moment, aside from the mouse acceleration, the thing that REALLY bugs me is the broken jumping. It worked better in the mod than it does right now. It seems like every time I hit "V" it throws a dice and only if I get a 6 my character jumps. 2 other times he vaults even though he should jump since I'm running, and the other 3 times he doesn't do anything and just keeps running.

Soooo frustrating. IMO movement is one of the things that should get rewritten from scratch. It takes away so much from the game when it feels so clunky. Take an example from Counterstrike and compare that to Arma/DayZ. The difference is enormous.
